Leicester and Windsor on Flood map for eagerly awaited return
Posted on 20 Apr 2018
HORSETRADER’S progressive dual winner Flood Defence is only days away from embarking on another exciting campaign.

Bought by our champion tipster Gary Nutting for just £8,000 at the Ascot breeze-up sale two years ago, the Chris Wall-trained filly - thrilling winner of handicaps at Doncaster and Sandown last season - is set to reappear at Leicester on April 28 or Windsor two days later.

By unbeaten Harbour Watch out of winning dam Krynica, she is from a high-class Khalid Abdullah/Juddmonte family best known for Phoenix Tower, who won the Earl Of Sefton (Newmarket) and finished second in four Group 1s - the Lockinge (Newbury), Prince Of Wales’s (Royal Ascot), Eclipse (Sandown) and International (York).

Flood Defence is a tough, consistent filly who stands her training well, enjoys her work and shows a similarly good attitude on the track,” says Wall.

“She confirmed her two-year-old promise with those wins last season, both in close finishes so she remains on a competitive mark. She’s strengthened up nicely over the winter and is working well, so there's good reason to hope she can improve again as a four-year-old.”

* Shares are still available in Flood Defence, who runs in the colours of the Horsetrader One partnership - contact Gary Nutting for more details.
