WALTON STREET is declared to run in cheekpieces again in tomorrow’s Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury so we can only hope and pray that someone connected with the horse remembers to put the headgear on this time.
Guarantee not worth the paper it’s written in
Last week the Racing Post thought worthy of a headline story a PR stunt from William Hill saying they would "lay a decent win bet from 10am on good races" in their shops, echoing a previous similar "guarantee" from Ladbrokes (they decided bravely on 11am).
